Factory farms are skirting climate rules in dozens of applications.

One megafarm in Norfolk planned to raise nearly 900,000 animals – without assessing its climate emissions.

Councils refused permission after public pressure. Others haven’t.

Robbie Gibb should have been ruled out of the running for the BBC Board in 2021: it was clear he'd been closely involved in setting up GB News - an ideological project aiming to rival to the BBC, & therefore a clear conflict of interest. The fact he was still allowed to join always rang alarm bells.

One tax reform would be to make people past pension age but still earning pay NI, it’s ridiculous they (we) stop paying NI when we are earning probably more than over before

Justice Reinvestment means taking money out of prisons and giving it instead to local people to improve their areas and invest in safer communities. It’s an idea Labour should take on.

Faith schools in the UK are a problem. As @profaliceroberts.bsky.social says here, every child deserves the chance to explore the world through evidence and reason. But the divisive and discriminatory nature of faith schools is failing thousands of children. 🧵

People who oppose assisted dying claim that vulnerable family members may be bumped off early for their money. The opposite is true, they are much more likely to be kept alive, barely alive, for as long as possible

This kind of (seemingly) reverse corruption needs a look

1. Reform MPs praise JCB endlessly, councillors promote the firm's tech on their authorities.

2. Then the boss gives a £200,000 party donation.

To a cynical eye, it looks like an affiliate rewards scheme

Billionaire Tory donor and JCB chair Lord Bamford gives Reform UK £200,000
"Lord Bamford's latest political donation makes the point, yet again, that we need a cap on donations."

Should Gibb be sacked? yes, obviously. He's an abomination of basic journalistic standards. His GB News channel spreads conspiracy theory & disinformation. His Jewish Chronicle newspaper spreads invented stories. He is plainly trying to undermine the BBC so it's as bad as everything else he touches.
