If you're looking for a City defender, Gvardiol is by far the least likely to come off the bench for a one pointer. In 72 City appearances in the EPL, only three were off the bench - and one of those was his first game. He has either started or completely missed the last 45 City EPL games.

Anyone else looking at the mid-priced and cheaper mids and thinking 'a fourth defender will likely match them or even outscore them'? Yet I have five mids - and will probably will continue to roll the dice.

I'm 687k overall, and am in the top 22% of this league. (To be in the top 1% of the 1% league would mean a current OR of 47k.)

I have given zero thought to double Palace defence. But Lacroix is on 50 points after 10 games with a single attacking return. Richards has 44 points with no attacking returns and no bonus. Now, they won't get clean sheets in 40% of their games going ahead, but even so....

Now approaching my favourite time of the FPL year. Enough games played that patterns have emerged, and we can identity food picks. Looking at a dozen or so SGW starting ahead, with nine in half and half. Sensible decisions and ranks will 🚀 as other teams unravel.

Been weighing up Bruno or Mbeumo. Basically, they're both excellent so I'm going with my love for Bryan. After 9 games, he's second for NPxGI and is nailed with 86 minuted per start. He's just a great pick!

Sold Pedro last night to avoid the price drop; will use to the money to move Caicedo to to either Bruno or Mbeumo: if the former, I'll have zero itb (hence the early move) and can't do Gordon to Gakpo in GW12.....

What's the most useful metric for thinking about Defcon returns? Percentage of returns? Total DCs piled up? minutes per DC? I've had a quick look at the top 5 for minutes per DC, and looked at their Median DC average....

The bad place totally losing its shit over the non-assist for Semenyo.
1) it’s not an assist according to the new rules as although inadvertant touches count, they don’t if a defender subsequently touches the ball;
2) imagine being that angry about 3 more points for a 90+% EO player.

Original plan for King to either Sarr/Paqueta/Minteh and BB8, but the Caicedo flag is worrying me. Should I just roll and wait for another week for BB? That said, in the long term I think all three of the above are good picks
