There's been some real good free games on Steam recently. Few as weird as Fourmiworld, though.
A kinda-sorta metroidvania set in a mostly-destructible open world that loops at the left/right and top/bottom edges, with a funky photo-collage aesthetic. Very non-linear with major mysterious vibes.
