Literally the reason the President gets so much deference in foreign affairs is because he is the “sole voice” of the nation when it comes to representing the U.S. as a sovereign and negotiating on its behalf. (Also, so much for the “unitary” executive)
Host: You could call and get Abrego Garcia back.

Trump: I could

Host: But the Supreme Court has ordered you to facilitate his release.

Trump: I'm not the one making this decision

Host: You're the president!

If you want to win a trade war, you gotta have something to trade that other side wants. And we're in a trade war with the very people who make all the things WE want.

You're not going to win that.

I was against gun safety laws until my husband got shot.

I opposed gay rights until my daughter came out.

I fought stem cell research until Ronnie got Alzheimer’s.

I’m a Republican which means I won’t give a shit about you until it happens to me.

I cant help but feel that our Founding Fathers would be MORTIFIED by whats happening today. Establishing an official state religion. Kidnapping people and sending them to be slave labor in another country. Snatching people off the street for their IDEAS. Horrifying.

The powers that be are very invested in Cuomo winning the NYC mayorship (one of the 10 most powerful executive roles in the USA) because, like Adams before him, he represents the best chance to let conservatives and business interests run a city mostly full of liberal voters.
This has been an extraordinarily painful aspect to my life these past few years. Papers folding like a cheap suit to Cuomo’s baseless claims of vindication. It’s simply not true. And it’s been unspeakably hard to see institutions I’ve respected my whole life fold fair.org/home/nyt-cov...
NYT Covers Up for Cuomo
While some local papers have been scathing in their coverage of the ex-governor, the New York Times seems to be largely buying what Cuomo's selling.
