Unfortunately I do think Google Lens is one of the most useful inventions we've made. Love being able to point at a cable and go "magic camera, identify!"

We like to say in Archives theory classes that Archives and records are how society holds government accountable, but that is NOT why the concept of either was invented. Proceed accordingly and watch for changes to Archives access/FOIA slowdowns.
As someone who has given this a lot of thought and has with government records, state archives and libraries are always fundamentally tools of the state, it's just there can be more and less severe people they operate under.
