As December 2025 begins, water stored in Sierra Nevada snowpacks is all but missing (water-resource-wise) and water stored in Upper Colorado snowpacks is lagging, but the snow season is still young.

An #AtmosphericRiver is forecast to bring heavy rain and mountain snow to California this week. The NWS Weather Prediction Center has issued a marginal risk of excessive rainfall for much of coastal California.
