I can confirm that as of this morning, the configuration change on the Vivox server has been made to no longer use 8.8.8.8 TCP/53. If you play #HellLetLoose and VOIP timed out for you at 60 seconds, and you had 8.8.8.8 blocked- you shouldn't face this issue any longer.

I confirmed with a vivox dev last week, if your network blocks DNS requests to 8.8.8.8/53, the current vivox sdk in Hell Let Loose will time you out at 60 seconds. Next sdk will not need to make this call.

I have spent a few days trying to figure out the VOIP issues with Hell Let Loose, including Vivox. I am tired.
