A page from our short story, The Next Day, about finding love during the world's end. ❄️💕
A comic page excerpted from a longer story. Dark tones in black-and-white. Text: "I roamed free from the beast man had become. I would have taken my last breath alone, in the dark. I feared the dark. We all feared the dark." A large breaded man dressed for the Winter with many furs and a makeshift hook prosthetic for a missing hand is trudging along a dark beach, carrying a lantern and walking stick, and sword on his belt. Suddenly, a black wolf charges him and he raises his sword in defense, looking determined. The wolf is pulled back by a collar and leash that are now visible, held by a mysterious man mostly covered in a layered tunic and scarves wrapped over his head and lower face. A tense moment is spent between the two men staring at each other before the bearded man abruptly faints from exhaustion. Final scene zooms out to show him laying on the beach unconscious as the other man and wolf look on.

A famous mouse but his face is the matrix of collagen and hydroxyapatite that lies underneath the outer face sheet. He has glowing red orb sockets and gloves with tips that are orangish-red. Could be anything. Who knows? He is framed inside of a circle like he is looking at you through a steamboat window perhaps. He gazes at you in a way that demands you be indirect with your words or else things might get messy. The colors are mostly yellows, reds, oranges and black. Everything is very painterly.

In light of US retailers panicking over the penny being discontinued, I'm finally seeing Meijer's long game at keeping Sandy the 1¢ mechanical pony ride everywhere for all of these decades.

Here's how to turn off Bluesky's censorship settings, so you can see posts by people you follow, even if Bluesky thinks they're rude.

You can customize the controls on quite a bit more than the Rude label, even.

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.
Rude Rude or impolite, including crude language and disrespectful comments, without constructive purpose. Highlighted Off, darkened Warn, and darkened Hide buttons.
