The fact that we are even considering letting this man finish out his term is ludicrous

Enough with the focus on "peaceful" protest. It's nonviolent, because that's what works. It is not peaceful. Don't undermine our power.

3 elected officials "roughed up" and one disappeared into custody somewhere. If you haven't, join up with a local resistance group.

Trump has threatened to arrest Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers. This is not within the purview of his job. This is not what we, the people, hired him to do. He does not have the right to do this and we will not let him continue to commit crimes without consequence.
Dangerous stunts by the Trump Administration to arrest judges and threaten arrest of our governor are an attempt to distract and divide us.

They want to stir up chaos and deflect accountability by scapegoating others in hopes we won’t notice as they starve our communities.

2 notes.
1. The fact that the district judge deemed the case to have “demonstrated a likelihood of success” is hugely encouraging
2. Where is the statement from the University of Iowa, demanding protection of its students?
After being temporarily barred from deporting four international students at the University of Iowa who are suing the Department of Homeland Security for revoking their status as students, the agency is now contesting the students’ wish to remain anonymous.

Here's why you should keep calling your lawmakers: It creates background noise. It creates one more annoying thing that they have to deal with because every contact has to be logged. It's like jogging a cloud of mosquitos who won't leave you alone.

Don't leave them alone. Go forth, and be mosquitos

Sand in the gears. Getting in the way works. Make them fight for every single thing. They are not all-powerful and their abilities are finite.
FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS to oppose the Trump administration...there is a strategy worth pursuing, one familiar to underdogs the world over: Push the aggressor beyond their limits.

For starters, it’s better to push back than to appease.

The only strategy known to work against a fascist power grab is widespread and diverse pro-democracy organizing. We win by showing up for each other and with each other.

HUGE shout out to the phone banker who just called me about Medicaid. She made sure I knew what was at stake and then transferred me directly to Miller-Meeks office to leave a message. Way easier than trying to get myself to do it!

This is why we have the courts. 6 innocent men are not in a gulag because individual people worked through our court institution to stop them. The regime tried to circumvent them, and it didn't work. They will try again, and we will foil them again, and again, and again. They will not win.

An EO is not necessarily immediately enforced; however, we at the grass roots must be ready to act should this EO take effect.
Trump lays the foundation for a pivot to martial law in his latest fascist EO:

“When local leaders demonize law enforcement and impose legal and political handcuffs that make aggressively enforcing the law impossible, crime thrives”

It's who stands up AFTER the big scary thing happens that's important. Just one judge refusing to hold court creates so much bureaucratic back up. Stand up, fight back, and know that others are doing the same. This is how we win.
Wisconsin Judge Monica Isham announces she’ll refuse to hold court after the arrest of Judge Hannah Dugan, charged with obstructing ICE. Isham vows to fight back against racial attacks and political interference, stating, “If this costs me my job, I did the right thing.”
