Can somebody explain to me why the ref was fine to play on when Real had the advantage, but play was blown dead when Arsenal reclaimed possession?

Champions League would be a lot more fun if there weren’t favored clubs that seem to get the benefit of the doubt at every turn. Nothing that can’t be overcome, but the standard of what constitutes a foul is very obviously different between the two sides.

If there’s one thing that I’ve learned in the aftermath of the Mikko Rantanen trade, it’s that the delta between smart hockey fans and dumb hockey fans might rival soccer as the widest in sports.

I talk a lot of shit about Premier League referees, and tend to be pretty defensive of NHL refs. It’s been the worst year I can remember for both.

I listen to roughly 1.6 million different podcasts, the majority of which feature professional writers/broadcasters. They have somehow all forgotten the distinction between “less” and “fewer.”
