The finale of the great TV comedy show Blackadder goes Forth.
Back then I didn't expect one of the funniest programmes ever to end with a scene that makes me cry every time I see it.
Every single time.

Iceland is putting AI in every classroom.

Teachers across the country will use Claude to plan lessons, adjust materials, and help students learn faster.

No consultants. No buzzwords.

Just real teachers saving real time.

What happens when every country does this? #AIEduSky #EduSky

Europe's online education market is exploding 🇪🇺

In 2024, it hit $94B. By 2033, it’ll reach $230B.

Smartphones, AI, and government support are making learning faster, cheaper, and borderless.

The future of school in Europe? It can be online #EduSky #AIEduSky

Most US schools are banning phones. Early data shows it's working:

• Test scores and attendance improved.
• Class distractions dropped.
• Cyberbullying fell.

But suspensions spiked mostly for Black students.

Want better focus? Lock up the phones. But track the impact. #EduSky

Extra time on tests is the most common accommodation for students with ADHD. It’s also one of the least effective. I used to think accommodations always helped, as long as they were generous.

Support should match the need not the pressure to provide something. UDL anyone? #EduSky

AI is already in your kid’s classroom.

Teachers use it with no clear rules.

A major data breach exposed millions of student records in 2024.

Still, there are no CND national protections in place.

Governments must act before it's too late. #AIEduSky #EduSky

60% of K-12 US teachers use AI for lesson planning.

It saves time.

But most AI-generated plans rely on facts and memorization.

They miss student voices and skip real-world thinking.

Fast doesn’t always mean better. #AIEduSky #EduSky

UNESCO trained teachers in 100+ countries to use AI responsibly. 4 projects just got global awards for teaching kids about bias, data privacy, and ethical AI. Brazil 🇧🇷 made AI a required subject. Egypt 🇪🇬
gave 600,000 people free AI training in Arabic.

The shift is global. #AiEduSky #EduSky

“Talks too much.”
“Doesn’t focus.”
“Could try harder.”

If you heard these in school, you probably had ADHD.

The system wasn’t built for your brain.
It was built for quiet, still, compliant.

Time to build a new one. #EdySky

UAE 🇦🇪 is putting AI in every classroom. Starting now, students from Year 1 to 9 will learn AI through a full curriculum. Teachers get ready-made lesson plans and tools. No extra prep needed. By 2026, teacher training starts. By 2027, schools get AI education accreditation. #AIEduSky #EduSky

Google and the University of Waterloo are teaming up. Goal: Build new ways to learn using AI.

They’re launching a $1M project led by Prof. Edith Law, focused on hands-on AI tools. Students will design and test real prototypes in the Futures Lab.

New models for future jobs will start now. #AIEduSky

Most schools treat recess like an afterthought. But research shows it helps kids focus, manage emotions, & build social skills, not fights, boredom, or exclusion.

When adults lead games, mediate conflicts, or even walk and talk with students, everyone wins.

Recess IS a part of learning. #EduSky

Homework doesn’t help much in early grades.
But by high school, it can raise scores by over 100%.
Not all homework works: rote tasks kill motivation and spike stress.
The best ones? Open-ended, student-driven, and linked to real thinking.
More isn’t better. Better is better. #EduSky

Unstructured play boosts test scores. A year of make-believe and tag gave 4-year-olds better self-control, and higher math and reading scores. Free play helps kids ignore distractions, follow rules, & stick with hard tasks.

Put down the tablet. Go play. #EduSky

Phones are banned at a Swiss school.

Since 2022, test scores rose 6.4%.
Students talk more. Distractions dropped.
Anxiety levels fell. Friendships deepened.
No phones = more focus, learning, and real connection.

Would your school try this? #EduSky

🇨🇦🏉 Sending all my support to the Canadian Women’s Rugby Team as they face England in the World Cup Final in London today.

Your hard work, resilience, and team spirit have already made us proud. Best of luck! Canada is behind you all the way!

Gen AI didn’t wait for school approval.
It showed up fast, without a process, without a plan.
Now teachers face chaos: no policy, no training, no clear purpose.
MIT’s Justin Reich says: start small, stay humble, test what works.
What would your first AI trial in school look like?

Teachers aren’t asking “Are students using AI to cheat?” anymore.

They’re assuming every take-home assignment is done by AI.

Essays & book reports are being replaced by in-class work.

Now schools are scrambling to define what cheating even means.

Old ways of teaching don’t work anymore #AiEduSky

US student test scores are still falling. It’s not just COVID.

NAEP scores were dropping before 2020 & they haven’t stopped.

So what’s the real cause?

We’re looking in the wrong places.

Teachers know what they need.

1/2 said they want more freedom to teach how they know best.

A 1/3 said they need help managing student behavior.

Most don't want more meetings, they want fewer.

leaders, want better morale? Give them trust, time, and real support. #EduSky

Uzbekistan will teach AI in HS starting 2026. Kids already learn basic IT from grade 1. New schools in tech, engineering, & science will feed top students straight into 2nd year of uni. The country is building 2,000 classrooms labs + 6,300 smart boards. Is your country preparing Ss like this #EduSky

31 US states limit student cellphone use in schools.

Last year, only a few had rules on this.

Teachers say students now pay more attention in class.

Some schools use phone lockers or digital licenses to manage access.

Are bans the answer or a missed chance to teach self-control?

Hong Kong wants every school to train teachers in AI.

The target: 5% of teaching staff per school, every year.

The goal: prepare students for an AI-driven world.

This isn’t optional. It's a policy proposal.

Is 5% enough though? #AIEduSky #EduSKy

Kids don’t have shorter attention spans. Screens are training them to expect faster feedback.

That shrinks memory, weakens focus, and disrupts learning.

Take phones away too late, and the brain wiring stays.

Want to help? Start digital breaks before age 10. #EduSky

Teachers are told to ban AI.

Then told to teach it.

But no one trains them to use it well.

Instead of guessing, we should train teachers to use AI with purpose.

Otherwise, students will learn from tools, not educators. #AIEduSky #EduSky
