I posted this to my IG & FB story and was incredibly encouraged by how many in my faith tribe reached out to say they agreed. I hope there are more of us out there who love Jesus AND want to protect democracy.

A song at church today had the basic message “more of Jesus means less of me.” And I kept thinking that I’m not sure Jesus actually wants less of me. (or you)
Maybe it’s “when I’m more full of Jesus, I’m more fully me.”

•a 22yo with metastasized recurrence of osteosarcoma after a 7-yr remission
•a 46yo mom w 4 kids with stage 4 esophageal cancer

Yesterday I agreed to lead at my church for the March 1 Gather25 event. It feels like new territory the Lord is leading me to & I’m unusually tentative.
I used to lead. Used to serve. Used to teach. But something broke inside me in 2016 and in the COVID years. Church was no longer home.
