It’s surreal how fast the United States has fallen into a dictatorial regime.

The Supreme Court has just unanimously ordered that The Regime must return Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the US. He is the man with protected status that was illegally deported to a torture camp in El Salvador.
My relief at this decision is overwhelming. Much, much, much still needs to be done though.

NIH has rescinded its scientific integrity policy. Hard to see this as anything other than clearing the way for shoddy research on things like vaccines. Regardless of the rationale, it's bad news for public health.

The truth she’s identifying is horrifying.
The totally mind-annhilating part of all of this is that tomorrow, a day after finding out I might not be able to ever vote again, I'll still get up in the morning. Just like after I lost my ability to leave the US, all because of my gender marker. This just happens now. And I'll still go to work.
