Facts matter. Science matters.

Embrace uncertainty.
I'm curious about why they don't let them be released and then - no matter what's in them - just claim that the material in the files exonerates Trump?

It worked with the Russia report.
If this was a hoax, wouldn’t releasing the full Epstein files to the public exonerate Trump? If he had nothing to hide, why would Trump be working so hard to prevent its release?
Trump to Republicans: "There should be no deflections to Epstein or anything else"
November 12, 2025 at 7:51 PM
If the Republicans manage to block the release of Epstein files, I really hope that someone in a position to release them anyway does so.

It would take a lot of courage.

I like to think I would if I was in that position, but it's a decision that's a lot easier to make in theory than in practice.
Also please note that the moment Rs actually seat Grijalva is almost certainly the sign that they've gotten an R to switch to NOT releasing the Epstein files.
this should be obvious but the reason Trump is working desperately against Epstein transparency is because he's guilty

YES ABSOLUTELY.
again i am perfectly fine with locking every one of Jeffrey Epstein's friends in prison, Democrat, Republican or Whatever.
Lest there be any insinuation that Dems spared their own. It would be tough for Kathy Ruemmler—Obama’s WH Counsel from 2011 to mid-2014—to come off looking worse in these docs the committee Dems released. oversightdemocrats.house.gov/sites/evo-su...

Real leaders really lead.

Democratic senators need to convince Sen. Schumer to step aside as Minority Leader and replace him with someone who understands that.
November 10, 2025 at 2:19 PM
As a longtime proud supporter of yours in Massachusetts, I ask that you please help convince Senator Schumer to step aside as Minority Leader. And if he won't, work with your fellow Democratic senators to replace him with someone who understands what's at stake.

Real leaders really lead.
I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.

We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.

A vote for this bill is a mistake.
November 10, 2025 at 2:14 PM
In order to "keep fighting", one needs to have been already fighting.

That doesn't describe what you've been doing.

The Senate Democratic minority needs a leader. That's not you. That's never going to be you.

Real leaders really lead.

Step aside.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

The “Bootstraps” idiom was originally meant to refer to the literally impossible. It was co-opted.
Idiom Origin

“pull yourself up by your bootstraps”

This was originally *sarcasm* & meant to convey that the act was impossible.

A boot strap is a loop used to help put your boot on.

This 1921 cartoon from the “Nonpartisan Leader” showcases that you can’t pull upward on your boots to levitate.

This is how much of the Republican leadership think about people who don’t vote the way they’re supposed to. They think those people aren’t just wrong, they’re dangerous, and shouldn’t be allowed to vote.
Mike Johnson: "If you run as a socialist, you run on a big list false claims. You promise everything to everyone, and you can't deliver, and if you were able to deliver it would be to the great detriment of the people you lured in to vote for you."

"... if we do what I'm saying ..."

This from the person who has been leading the GOP around by the nose since 2016. Yeah, continuing to grovel to him and do his bidding is clearly excellent advice.
Trump: "They're gonna make DC a state and they're gonna make Puerto Rico a state. So now they pick up two states, four senators. They're gonna pick up electoral votes. It's gonna be a very, very bad situation. Now, if we do what I'm saying, they'll most likely never obtain power."

There’s no reason ever again for any Democrat to suggest moderating on trans rights. There was never a moral reason but now there’s no political reason either.

Somebody tell Gavin Newsom and Pete Buttigieg. it’s joe-ver.

The ideas underlying socialism are hardly toxic. Inclusion, community, compassion, opportunity, effective governance are all fundamental, widely embraced. The term socialism itself has been cynically stigmatized. But with a little good sense, we can move past that and focus on values & results.

Teen Vogue eliminated all their Black and trans staff today.

It's resegregation in real time.
today’s information came out piecemeal, and people should be able to share their own situations on their own time, but I could share this much ^ as it is pretty cut and dry on the facts.

Teen Vogue also no longer has any trans staffers as of today.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

"Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

"NO! No no no no!"

Seriously, though, this is part of why I'm generally dubious about billionaire philanthropy. The effect billionaires have on philanthropy is often just as warping as their effects on the economy.

Even when they're well-intentioned.
