You’re making a mockery of all the work Democrats have put in over the last few months. And this will ensure that Democrats are blamed for the shutdown, since you capitulated without getting a single concession for citizens. Feckless. Weak.

Dems, do not let GOP dampen the momentum from the elections by conning you into voting for this plan to re-open the gov.

They aren't going to vote on ACA in the future, they will destroy it and federally ban abortion.

Don't be complicit.

What's unreal is that Trump has been blasting Senate Republicans to nuke the filibuster and end the shutdown for days and Senate Democrats are just going to hand them a win anyway.
If Dems accept this deal, it will help the GOP cement the following ideas into the public conscience over the coming 4 weeks:

-Shutdown was Dems fault/responsibility
-They did it for nothing
-They caved to Trump

Having accepted responsibility, it will also cripple them in the follow up debate.
First, I will say this: never believe an Axios backed story with only a Thune test vote schedule.

That being said, for obvious reasons to anyone who sees my posts regularly, I don't think a deal is a good idea for Dems, but the rumored deal seems pretty poor even factoring in my priors against.

🚨 We’re hearing that Senate Democrats are on the verge of caving to Trump in another “Schumer Surrender.”

That means your Democratic senators need to hear from you right now.

I believe this is the first elected Dem member of congress in the country to make this call. We get the party we demand.
Dem Rep. Glenn Ivey just called for Schumer to step aside-to big cheers from his constituents.

Ivey: "It may be time for the Senate Democrats to pick new leadership."
Constituents are booing and yelling out when Rep. Glenn Ivey mentions Chuck Schumer at his town hall in Suitland MD right now.

Very heavily Dem district with a ton of govt workers.
