Raskin: It’s not even enough for them to appoint a crew of embarrassingly servile judges like Aileen Cannon, who may as well be on the bench in Putin’s Russia, as she shows little fidelity to the rule of law but fastidious devotion to the whims of her dear leader.

Violating rules about firing IGs when he could have just as easily done it lawfully suggests Trump's larger goals. It starts with pardons & firing prosecutors. I pull the threads in this piece to see where it might end. joycevance.substack.com/p/where-is-t...
Where Is This Leading?
Late today, Donald Trump’s acting attorney general fired the prosecutors who worked on the January 6 and classified documents prosecutions against Trump.

It’s almost like they want to keep America stupid—less financially stable & thus more controllable.

Article I says Congress makes laws and has power of the purse.

Article II requires POTUS to faithfully execute laws.

Refusing to execute laws so he can usurp Congress’s budgetary authority is unconstitutional.

A self-respecting Congress would do a veto-proof resolution, and if necessary, impeach.

Bill 484 proposed in Oklahoma would make it illegal for almost all cities in the state to help or provide homeless shelters. Imagine losing everything in a tornado or to illness & insurance drops you.

Is this OK's version of GA's offering water to voters?

The Hegseth hearing is doing one thing incredibly well: it’s establishing that when his leadership at DoD fails, it’ll be clear that GOP Senators knew, excused it, and they own it. Serious concerns about experience & judgment are literally being laughed off.
