Urgent Mutual Aid Ask!

An ANMLY team member became unhoused last December. He's finally secured a safe place to live, but needs help with his security deposit

GFM is too slow & we don't want him to lose this opportunity. His shelter shuts down at the end of the month!

Goal: $700

sometimes, I just want to see if I can
still be the poet who hangs the rhyme
on the rims of their lines, rather than
twisting the beats in breaths primed
to express the peel, the oils like a man
I don't want to see most of the time

Thrust into unemployment, axed federal workers face relatives who celebrate their firing
Scrambling to replace their health insurance and to find new work, some fired federal workers are running into another unexpected unpleasantry: Relatives cheering their job loss.

Always a joy to see @landrewhuffman.bsky.social pieces out in the world. They showed me this piece of few months back and it wows me just as much today!
I think I've at least partly been writing towards this piece since I read it. Andrew is one of those friends I think I'm often writing towards!
one of those pieces that just wowed me with language, and a classic example of something feeling so amazingly and perfectly capturing HAD vibes that I hadn't known existed until I read it

Growing up I used to have plenty of nightmares. Those dreams never really stopped but now they feel more like watching a suspense movie.

Amusement parks and fairs are two of the most common settings for my dreams. I can think of maybe a dozen or so amusement park dreams in the last couple months.

I think that vibe is often a bit forlorn but that could be more the feeling of waking up and wanting to be back in the park.

Sometimes being a creative writing prof is writing stuff like “Really loved this image!” Or “Keep going with this for a few more lines” to things like murder scenes 😂

I love to see my love's books find their way two different corners! I love Jimena and love libraries! Hoping it finds its way to many more!
Today I was beyond stoked to find that Amy of the Necromancers, my queer YA fantasy/paranormal novel, 🌈📚 is available in over eight libraries, everywhere from NY to MS to London to Montreal! 😱 As a queer #indieauthor, this is so special to me. Support your local libraries! 💙📚
