The murders of Charlie Kirk and Minnesota state representative Melissa Hortman are part of a dangerous rise in political violence.
We cannot accept this as the norm.
We must do whatever we can to reduce the anger and hate that are consuming and destroying so much of the country.

I worry that the divisive rhetoric I see from people on both sides in response to this will only escalate things further and I implore everyone to be mindful of how your words might contribute to this.
