Oxfordshire County Council's cabinet member for transport, Andrew Gant, has fired back at Oxford East MP Anneliese Dodds over the city’s temporary congestion charge. In a five-page open letter, the LibDem councillor calls Labour’s opposition to it “grotesque, upsetting and bizarre”.

Angela Rayner accidentally pays less tax than she should have, resigns, and the media gives her hell.

Nigel Farage deliberately pays less tax than he should have, and the media gives him a free pass.

That, right there, is the problem.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Miriam Margolyes earlier this week for @bigissue.com. 🎤

The full interview will be out soon, but due to the latest news on Palestine today, I thought I’d share this clip early. 👇

📣 The government is asking for feedback on reforms aimed at giving leaseholders of homes more transparency and control over service charges and quality of work.

These issues are raised frequently by constituents so do respond with your views by September 26th.

Really encouraging shift towards supporting voting reform. I am definitely part of the 60%.

Voter apathy is rife, and making every vote count and removing the need for tactical voting would surely help reverse that.

The rhetoric coming from the PM this week fills me with sadness.

@amcarmichaelmp.bsky.social is spot on here. For a so-called 'progressive' party, Labour has this frighteningly wrong.
I fear that Labour is falling into the same trap that the Tories did – leaning on hostile rhetoric around immigration and damaging our public services and our economy in the process.
