Two years ago, when the school district was planning to install a new play area that wasn't accessible to some classmates, 4th-graders mounted a petition drive to block the design. They went to the school board meeting with "Play for ALL" signs.

Then they set out to create a worthy replacement.

Guys, I have a special & unusual request today. My cousin Sean is a union bus driver here in Los Angeles who was just FIRED in retaliation for saying he would not let masked ICE agents onto his bus to abduct riders. The fight is on to get his job back, you can help: actionnetwork.org/letters/send...

I’ve seen a lot of false information circulating in the weeks following the Minneapolis DFL convention. Some of it feels like reading Jan 6 voter conspiracy theories, so as the person who stepped in as head teller + audited the voting system, I’d like to set the record straight🧵

My dude, there can be no ethical dishwashing under capitalism. Until we have socialism, I propose we jack a dishwasher from like Walmart or someplace.

I've been anxious to talk about this because it feels so selfish, but time to move past that.

I have a book coming out!

"Who's Got the Power? The Resurgence of American Unions", comes out October 14th from The New Press.

It's an optimistic book for perilous times.

Minneapolis needs a mayor who will do this. #DontRankFrey
Bass: I just signed an executive directive that puts all city departments and leadership on notice to protect Angelenos—essentially from the federal government.

We’re also filing a FOIA request because we want to know: Who are these masked men, and why are they masked in the first place?

Amazing news: Princeton & its prosecutors pressed charges against 13 students for a pro-Palestine protest, then offered to dismiss charges against 12 if one, @aditilrao.bsky.social, pled guilty.

Instead, everyone held firm, and today the case was DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE & arrest record expunged!!!

The 5 days since Zohran Mamdani won the primary have been @runforsomething.net's biggest candidate recruitment surge ever. We're about to cross 5,000 young people who've raised their hands & signed up at runforwhat.net to run for local office for the first time.

Change is coming.

Reminder: jury nullification won't be in your jury instructions and is not something you're allowed to talk about in court. If you bring up jury nullification during jury selection, you WILL be thrown off the jury.

Want to nullify? Just vote to acquit. That's all nullification is: a vote to acquit.
It’s a great time to talk to your family and friends about jury nullification 👍
