Ever tried walking your city and thought: ‘Where can I even sit down?’
@heigit.org's #hiWalk just added a feature that maps benches + another one for water fountains.
Good for the elderly, good for everyone. Because #walkable cities = #livable cities

An analysis in Communications Earth & Environment shows that new forests larger than the land area of North America would need to be planted to offset the potential carbon dioxide emissions from the fossil fuel reserves currently held by the world’s 200 largest fossil fuels companies. 🧪
Carbon offsetting of fossil fuel emissions through afforestation is limited by financial viability and spatial requirements - Communications Earth & Environment
The spatial requirements for offsetting current fossil fuel reserves would require converting to forest a land area equivalent to the entirety of North and Central America, according to an analysis of the social cost and economic value of carbon.
