Great to speak about mine and @stefaniereher.bsky.social research at the @centenaryaction.bsky.social event on disabled women and politics at the House of Lords, hosted by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson 🤩 🤩 🤩

So happy that mine and @stefaniereher.bsky.social ESRC grant application for a 4 year comparative project on disability and political parties was successful!! @sotonpolitics.bsky.social

😘
New article out now in @poppublicsphere.bsky.social in which I provide a comparative analysis of disability & political parties and develop a framework for assessing their accessibility.

Had a great time in Ottawa presenting some of the findings from mine and @stefaniereher.bsky.social research on disability and politics at the Canadian Parliament. Now just soaking up the election fever 🤓🇨🇦🍁

I'm in Ottawa at the moment and my taxi driver was talking to me about this very topic last night!!

Happy to share this - although it is truly horrendous listening to yourself...

Answers my question about whether you're around for coffee later! Enjoy the meeting ❤️

I'm all for the promotion of running and classical music but I think we could also do with an APPG on disability

Disappointed to discover there is currently no All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Disability. There's the very important Special Educational Needs and Disabilities APPG but this group focuses on children and young people rather than disability per se.

Absolutely!

Great to see MPs raising the issue of electronic voting www.theguardian.com/politics/202... it's one of the topics that @stefaniereher.bsky.social and I proposed in our submission to the Modernisation Committee. Accessibility should not be sacrificed on the altar of tradition.
