I’ve published two books of fiction, Use Me and Blueprints for Building Better Girls, and other stuff and had jobs and even if I could capture lightning in a bottle I wouldn’t because lightning should be free.

I saw somebody on TikTok using the word 'slopper' as a slur for people who use ChatGPT, and that's a thing we should start doing.

Keep it simple stupid! I didn’t know they knew so many nasty words.
“Black, Gender, Female, Historically, Victim, Sense of belonging, Breastfeed…” (shivers) Missing: Asshat, Baby hands, Taco…
These Words Are Disappearing in the New Trump Administration
Federal agencies have issued guidance to employees on hundreds of terms to limit or avoid using. An analysis of government websites shows many of the same words being removed.

I often give MSM headline-writers/editors a hard time on framing of political news.

So now a note of compliment to hed-writers + photo and layout editors who put together today's WSJ print front page. (h/t @jorgeguajardo.bsky.social )

If Dickens or Dreiser were writing this, would seem overdone

Just reading about the 1940-41 Blitz, learned the Nazis dropped 13,000 tons of bombs on 8.5 million Londoners, killing 30,000, or one in 280 of them.

Israel in 2023-24 dropped 6 times the bomb tonnage for twice as long on an area a fifth as big with 1/4 as many people, killing 47,000––one in 45.

From 100 YEARS OF SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE: “New cast member Zeppo Marx walked out in protest, but Lorne Michaels defended his choice of host for the 1933 Christmas episode. ‘You can’t deny Adolph Hitler is an interesting figure, and that’s what we do here — the new, the interesting.”

What if we all started wearing black sunglasses and black baseball hats with fun logos like, Nazis Suck, or I ❤️ Everybody!
What a kooky mix up that could cause. #Branding
