I love logging onto bsky, seeing some videogames discourse the americans have been up to while I'm asleep, thinking "huh this seems really shallow and worthless" and then scrolling a bit and being like "yeah I was right".

Personally I think the highest review score should be 9.9 and we should only give it to games that will piss some people off. most of these games are well made and in my opinion good (not you Bioshock) but these are the most asinine, generic picks possible

I have a pet theory that people want more iterative sequels to games, like we used to get tonnes of in the PS2 era, and that this would be a good strategy for indie devs.
That said, I don't know if there's a lot of evidence for it. Might have to have a closer look around.

It is absolutely hilarious for Nintendo to finally do Virtual Boy re-releases after skipping the 3DS, and to make it require a peripheral. If you wanted to purposefully avoid people playing and re-evaluating these games, this is how you would do it.

Happened to get my first bubble tea in ages while the Demon Slayer collab at Chatime was happening. I have never seen Demon Slayer but Tanjiro's Earl Grey Matcha is pretty good.
It tastes pretty strongly of earl grey but has a nice matcha flavour at the end of each sip.

Even if it wasn't destructive to our power grids, bad for local water supplies, built on theft, not actually 'intelligence', and incredibly wasteful of land and GPUs, I still wouldn't use AI because it doesn't even make you more productive! It's all smoke and mirrors.

I've started studying Game Development at a local college, and last week the lecturer was talking about Yahtzee and how he'd moved to Second Wind and displayed the Second Wind Youtube channel and I was like... does he know?
A lot of people only watch Yahtzee. But I still had a laugh about it.
