this week's life drawing. first time attending a 3 hour session and it made a huge difference. was able to use graphite for details and still had enough time to fully develop the contrast and shadows. very pleased with it!

oh i forgot this life drawing, this is actually the second to last. the person running the session gave me a wax charcoal(?) stick and challenged me to use it instead. this shading technique works much better with ink than with what is essentially a crayon but i still had fun

also in honor of filling up a whole sketchbook - first photo is the page, second photo is the second time with the same model, third is the last time with the same model (which was the second to last page in the sketchbook). i think i still like the second the best, with the face behind the hair
