The war will end when Russia stops fighting. Therefore, pressure has to be put on Russia, so that they stop believing that they will win. Why is that so hard to understand?

This is heartbreakingly cruel and hypocritical. The same admin that has redefined refugee status to cover white South Africans is now going to drown thousands of refugees already approved for their status in red tape, potentially even seeking to strip some of their status and deport them.
Trump Admin planning a rule to re-decide whether *every* refugee who entered under Biden meets their criteria for a refugee. That’s 230,000 people! And no appeals!

Trump’s threat to cut off #Ukraine unless it surrenders to #Russia is a sign that the American people can no longer be trusted to make voting decisions that affect the whole world, not when they elect a Kremlin asset because they stupidly and selfishly think he’ll give them cheap groceries.

If Ukrainians wanted to surrender they sure as hell do not need kremlin assets Witkoff and Trump as intermediaries and could surrender directly to Moscow.

I am so confused why some can’t understand that Ukraine will not surrender and will never accept Russia’s 28 point plan

This is what decolonization looks like #Ukraine
"I can no longer see the Russian language as neutral during the full-scale war in this climate of constant threat. It is a weapon of soft power, an advance guard of influence that moves in long before their tanks," writes Kate Tsurkan, a reporter at the Kyiv Independent, in this op-ed.
Why I won’t encourage my Ukrainian child to speak Russian
As a foreigner in Ukraine, I often hesitate to speak on certain social issues. Despite living here for nearly a decade, I know that my American upbringing still limits how deeply I can feel what my Uk...

Total waste of time from Trump that probably would force #Ukraine to cede territory to #Russia as Russia launches more missiles and drones at Ukrainian civilians and tries to take more territory and threatens Europe. The only way to peace is through Russia’s defeat and the #Putin regime’s collapse.

I'm thinking of all the nasty stuff in Chomsky's record.

Denying the Cambodian genocide. Supporting Milosevic. Denying the Bosnian genocide. Undermining anti-Communist dissidents in Western academia. Cheering the death of Venezuelan democracy. Spreading Russian propaganda.

This is long overdue.
Can't wait to see him whatabout this one.

For the last 30 years, throughout much of Western academia there have been a lot of leftwing academics who sidelined, belittled, and tried to lecture over scholars and dissidents of former communist countries, on the topic of communist tyranny. I think this is gradually coming to an end.
Chomsky is terrible. We chastise the "right" for not listening to experts, but here the far-left has been listening to a linguist about foreign policy and economics. It's ridiculous. He uses big words and seems to say the right things about "wealthy people bad"... then he's best buds with Epstein.

40% of American women want to leave the US for good. The subtext here is a growing sense among many that the US and its quality of life are rapidly declining, and the reelection of Trump shows the ugliness at the nation’s heart, which isn’t going away anytime soon.
