Decorating the indoor perspective
Surroundings lit by candle light
Snugness wrapped up warmly
Outside the view is quite barren
Trees shivering in their emptiness
A setting of greys and charcoals
Inside the ambience simply hugs...

They were on land but as I approached they went into the water. Earlier there were so many in the Pamlico sound, that when they all took off I could hear them from a ways off. These two were at Bodie Island Light. There’s a short trail and they were fishing at the bridge.

This was Wealthy
she was perfection
gone now many years
Now there’s Jazzy boy
a semi wild tabby cat
With Wealthy I had money
Come Jazzy, I am poor
Whether rich or poor
we all need an animal
to be loved unconditionally
no matter our status
