Finished birb for back of the jacket a while back but have been busy and not a lot of desire/reason to rush. I still want to finish because I can wear it to the fair but probably my last costume for a long time.

Visited my local 2nd hand craft store last night and was so happy she had good quality wool and other nice things. Super sweet lady that I am more than happy to buy from.

Made my peace with not going to ECCC. Had a feeling they were going to have the BG3 panel not on the weekend so people would have to scramble for badges to a different day and I was right 🫠 I'll go slow and happily finish this costume for the renfaire.

A bit frustrated. In-laws want to go to Japan together next year but only as a cruise. Tried to explain how much fun train travel is in japan and other benefits but they refuse to listen. Plus some days you have to be back on the boat by 4pm😭such a waste...

Did a run to Joann and it was pretty depressing. Haven't stocked since the holidays, and most aisles were quite empty. I get it's a retail chain but I have good memories here. I do hope if it closes permanently that we see more small fabric/craft shops pop up again in small towns.

Yearly insane SoCal fires make me glad we and our in-laws don't live down there anymore. They almost lost their house at least twice, scary shit.

My spouse is ridiculous. Practicing ukulele and I'm worried he's going to be annoyed...."Oh no, it's like you're serenading me!" ....I want to put a ring on it again😭 Goal is to get good enough to play songs for him.
