New housing stats from Govt, via Generation Rent: "131,140 households [in England are] in temporary accommodation, an increase of 11.8% from March 2024

"Households with children in temporary accom. rose by 11.6% to 83,150...

"A record 169,050 dependent children are trapped in temp. accommodation."

I remember a Southwark councillor once claiming that "regeneration" meant they didn't need to cut services. But as we can see, the long-term consequences are that these services get cut anyway:
