Distemper has been on the rise as the feral population grows and people not vaccinating their pets due to financial constraints or an extension of their antivax agenda. Each confirmed case closes the vet until thorough disinfection procedures are done as there has been some deaths.

ICE has killed a Canadian. I wonder how many non-English-speaking brown persons without strong familial connections within the USA have been killed (or disappeared)?
It’s not worth it to travel there under any circumstances.

This old girl (Tubby) has been through a LOT and come out the other side happy and healthy. Her person died, her dog friend died, she had an almost-fatal inner ear infection, went to her first vet appt in 12 years, had a polyp surgically removed, and became an indoor cat in a house with 7 others.

What a tragedy, for Chris’s family and friends, for the 100+ cats that suffered and died, for the Animal Rescue community, and a huge loss for the hundreds of other cats who got love and care and family from this man when nobody else could or would help them.
Happy Cat Sanctuary on Long Island, NY caught fire this morning. Chris Arsenault, owner and founder, ran back inside repeatedly to save as many cats as he could until one time he didn't come back out. He and least 100 cats died. Surviving cats have been taken to Jaeger's Run Animal Rescue Inc.
