We often tell people to ‘ask for help’, to ‘reach out’, to ‘share’, but there is a paradox at play here — it’s often when you’re struggling the most that you are least able to articulate what it is that you need.

Life is learning…
The signs are all there in every living thing. Evolution itself is a kind of learning over a vast amount of time.
Every child spends their formative years learning, just to function in the world. It’s in our very nature.
Learning is progress, growth.

If you are feeling unfulfilled at the moment, try asking yourself: “Am I learning new skills right now?”
If the answer is no, sometimes a new hobby or project is enough to bring some new positive energy into your life.

I was back in London recently, my visit coincided with Donald Trumps’ state visit.
There was a strange atmosphere. I genuinely got these dystopian, 1984 vibes everywhere I went.
When I saw this mural by Miguel H Cuar, it lifted my spirits. I’m down with the sentiment of this✨:

But it sounds so easy “to show up as yourself”, in practice it can be much harder… you may not even realise you are holding back. Showing up as yourself is not like flicking a switch - it’s incremental, requiring practice, self reflection and courage.

And yet there is one thing I would encourage my younger self to do… To just start now! When you finally start to follow your dream - you will make mistakes, the way will be unclear, the plan will have to change… But this is all part of the process. Starting is the hardest part. The rest is learning.
