Afternoon #RunningPunks. Essex XC Series No. 2 - Hainault. Lovely 2-lap course, although the uphill on lap 2 broke me and needed some strategic slowdown. Still managed to finish well enough though. Who invented hills? Honestly, what use are they…? 🤘

Morning #RunningPunks. Usual route anticlockwise today, but the weather decided to break its recent trend of cold and / or wet, allowing some unseasonably mild conditions. I am sure it will balance itself out later. Tunes from 3 Colours Red helping me chug along 🤘

Evening #RunningPunks. It’s been ages since I’ve done a nighttime run in the dark. I think that’s the first time I’ve tried out that chest-torch and I can confirm that it is perfect for drawing out all your slasher-film nightmares as it casts juddering shadows while running through tree tunnels 😳🤘

Happy #VirtualRunClub Day #RunningPunks. The Dengie 100 Runners Sunday social crowd were a bit thin on the ground today, with just three of us around, so we decided to push for a pacy 10k. Tunes on the way back from The Divine Comedy - Regeneration 🤘
Morning #RunningPunks. Clockwise loop on the usual route under cool grey skies once again. Timed it badly and got stuck at the rail crossing in the first quarter of a mile but otherwise enjoyably uneventful. Happy tunes from Squeeze’s Greatest Hits keeping me bopping along 🤘

Morning #RunningPunks. Slightly gentler pace after Sunday’s exertions. Grey but cool and dry out there. Managed to miss most the school drop-offs so shot through some of the often-snarled up sections. Tunes from Gary Moore - After The War 🤘

#RunningPunks #VirtualRunningClub representing my real running club, Dengie 100 Runners, at the Burnham-on-Crouch 10k. 1st half was excellent but 2nd half, largely against the wind blowing downriver, was really hard work. Random shuffle playlist was having a laugh with the last couple of tracks🤘

Morning #RunningPunks. Out with the Dengie 100 Runners this morning, testing out the Burnham 10k route ahead of next week’s event. One of the guys was saying he’d never yet managed a sub-50 minute 10k and we reckoned it was well within his grasp, so we chased him round it to spectacular effect 🤘
