I play games, spend a lot of time scrolling and do some real life stuff too!
I think it's good news, at least it certainly looks like it. Maybe there was a conversation to the effect of fair and even, or we're gonna screw you hard in 17 years. But it seems almost too good to be true. Either way, seeing what the trade-offs are will be key!
‘The devil is in the details’: N.L. politicians look forward to debate on Churchill Falls MOU
Premier Andrew Furey said the MOU signed with Quebec will be debated in a special sitting of the House of Assembly in January.

Thanks to the huge influx here I finally find myself able to leave X. Like I've finally got enough to make this place worthwhile

As a Canadian looking in, I'm nervous for Americans, but I've been nervous for 6 months. I don't think either outcome was going to be great, but this one will be extra rough for more people.

I'm not saying both sides ate equal, I think both outcomes had potential for violence, just different kinds

Was this early? Whoa. Good to see it's growing, and glad to be rid of that *other* platform

Another mind numbingly terrible experience with Bell. My God, the rate I go through Telcos, it's a wonder there's any left. Is there a single telco that isn't terrible in this country?

I tried to make a really interesting and cool post for the opening of Bluesky and turns out my online presence is mostly either as a spectator, commentor on news or just really, really old. So I guess I'm a senior citizen now?

Since this place is open, all I can say is, block early, block fast, screenshot Nazi/troll accounts to warn others, and do NOT engage. Do not QT bad actors. Their accounts will die/wither and they will leave. Defend your queer/trans skeeps with every last ounce.

I forgot that this wasn't common knowledge but good lord if you get food for the entire office, Please do not go through the drive-thru. Especially if you're picky about the muffins that they give you. Sincerely, the guy stuck behind you for literally 9 minutes while you ordered.

I'm getting sick of all the disingenuous posts about high grocery prices. Post a premium cut of meat and act shocked at the price.

Here's a diamond. Some shockin', wha? Can't believe they wants THAT much!

We don't we compare prices on chips, or bread? Not the same shock, but hurts a lot more

Institutional emails that are essentially newsletters should not come in the same format (or even account) as important emails. That's a hill I'll die on

The new HIGHLY INVASIVE ad monitoring & selling framework is now live in Google Chrome & it's ON by default, so you MUST EXPLICITLY OPT OUT. We all know this is bad, but here's how to do it:

Settings>Privacy & Security>Ad Privacy, disable all 3 options: Ad Topics, Site-suggested Ads, Ad Measurement

Exactly what workers have been saying all along. Imagine that.
It turns out that making workers happy is actually good for business.

While we’re talking about recycling guilt…a lot of people don’t realize recycling relies on supply and demand. If there’s no one who wants to buy plastic pellets then that stuff goes to the dump. Reduce and re-use is more important then recycle. I wrote an explainer a few years ago:

A company that has no other choice than to stick "Asset Protection Guards" on every exit, demand receipt checks, double your grocery bill, because they're truly, utterly struggling folks.

If this is struggle, I want to struggle.
$508M profit past quarter.
Profit up 31%.
$511M in share buybacks

Incredible greed while many struggle to put food on their tables.
