It has been one of those days where you just feel genuinely touched by the kindness of others. Didn’t think it could get much better until I checked in an hour ago to see how Justin’s book was doing on Amazon. The day has peaked. I’m turning in x

Sad to hear of the passing of Tom Robbins. Safe travels in the great beyond, big guy.

“What I try to do, among other things, is to mix fantasy and spirituality, sexuality, humor and poetry in combinations that have never quite been seen before in literature.”

A conversation I had elsewhere reminded me that this excellent adaptation of Anita Brookner's novel HOTEL DU LAC is on the iPlayer. #BookSky

Anna Massey is *perfect* as Edith, and other cast members (e.g. Googie Withers, Patricia Hodge, Denholm Eliot) are superb too!

Great that there's a Powell and Pressburger film season on BBC.
Heard from Thelma Schoonmaker that the doc I made about I Know Where I'm Going! will be shown too. Don't know when.
Made it decades ago, not my usual style, but if you love IKWIG you might like it.

When Will, Lawrence and myself started out on this journey two years ago I don’t think I ever anticipated it culminating in an art happening by a Turner Prize winning artist at a working men’s club in east London. But one thing I’ve learnt about Lawrence World: never be surprised.

Do not miss this!
