I'm doing LinkedIn learning for my new job and there's features that are really annoying. Loading the module, it's always muted and the "AI overview" is automatically open and occupies a significant amount of window space.

Apparently, there no way to change these settings.

I finally saw an aurora. I'm sure it's much more spectacular in the remote, northern regions.

It’s really important that #Vancouver’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally against bike-lanes, are now among their most vigourous supporters, because of ACTUAL EVIDENCE that they’re better for downtown business than any street parking they replaced.

Safe bike-lanes mean business.

Have you heard of “The Populist Playbook?”

A few years ago, I posted what I still consider one of my most important messages.

It was about “The Populist Playbook” that I’ve watched play out often over my 33+ years of city planning.

Since then, it’s only gotten worse.

Do the steps sound familiar?

My take from this is that the planners want to build a huge interchange and widen roads, but they aren't planning for mass transit options. This will be for growth in the next 25 years.

Traffic will get worse if they only focus on cars.

While I was waiting for the lightrail, I saw a mother and her children playing as they ran up to the station.

That's some good stuff right there.

OK, so our "Secretary of War" currently has two big priorities: (1) murdering innocent fishermen in the Caribbean, and (2) endangering the lives of commuters in Southern California.

Perhaps, we are seeing one of the downsides to having a drunk TV talk show chatterbox running our military.

the other "voices" you talk about are fucking vile racist neo-nazis that want me dead. These sites arent for political discourse anyways, theyre for me sharing my stupid books and furry art, not here to debate fucking nazis who want to discuss the better way to kill me.

This former Trauma ICU nurse agrees 100%.
Remember, whenever you hear that “speed wasn’t a factor” in a deadly crash, what they mean is that the car involved wasn’t technically speeding. At least “not by much.” It presumes that the speed limit wasn’t too high to begin with.

When it comes to death from collisions, SPEED IS ALWAYS a factor.
