Woke up at 3:30 AM, couldn’t get back to sleep, so cleaning out my office a little bit among other small tasks…
Going through an old desk and found a DVD copy of Dunston Checks In - no sleeve or anything. Just the disc.
This has to be my wife’s fault, I cannot accept responsibility.

The 1st and only time I saw the movie Dunston Checks In, it was the dubbed Punjabi version. Looking back I don’t know why they bothered making a dubbed Punjabi version of a movie about a monkey in a hotel. Probably like four people in Punjab bothered to watch it, and they were like, “So?” at the end

I'm reminded of that one scene from Dunston Checks in where the main antagonist is looking at a 3D diagram of the hotel he's staying at on his computer (he might be on the hotel's website? I don't remember) and it's the most advanced high-end Matrix looking thing ever for a computer from the mid-90s

nw. Took my Iranian grandfather to see this in the theater & toward the end I looked over at him & he had the most confused look on his face & when it was over he didn’t say a word to anyone in the car & went right to bed when we got home. dunston checks in irreparably damaged our relationship.
