"A guy" (known child sex trafficker) "emailing a reporter" (at the most important newspaper in the world, about a presidential candidate's ties to himself, a known child sex trafficker) about "old girlfriends" (underage girls they trafficked) is not "a whole news story" (yes it is.)
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.

nothing to see here, just Donald Trump's top henchmen summoning members of congress to a secure room where they can't be record that is sometimes used for ordering people killed in order to persuade them not to release the Epstein files
My god (sorry I’m late on a bunch of this stuff. But wow!)

According to this NYT report, the head of the FBI and the Attorney General are holding meetings *in the Situation Room* with GOP lawmakers they are trying to pressure to rescind their votes to release the Epstein info. This is madness.

Trump bragged about grappling women by the pu**y & barging into rooms of partially dressed, young pageant contestants. A jury concluded he assaulted E. Jean Carroll in a dressing room. So nothing that’s in the Epstein emails is a surprise. It’s just confirmation.

Q: "Why are White House officials…meeting with Rep. Boebert in an effort to try to get her to not sign this petition calling for the release of the [Epstein] files?"

Leavitt: "I'm not going to detail conversations that took place in the situation room."

This is, again, another meeting at the White House about how to prevent the release of FBI documents about child rape. Think for a second, if you were accused of raping children, would you be convening multiple meetings about how to prevent the release of documents that prove your innocence?

The fact that Trump is calling Mace and Boebert today pleading with them to remove their names from the Epstein petition at the last minute tells you everything you need to know about how incriminating the info in the files is to him and his cronies.

If you’ve got a Senate Democrat who is not calling for new leadership, they’re part of the problem.

We should no longer trust Senate Dems who decline to come out against the leadership that led us here. Until proven otherwise, we should assume they were in on the game to fool their own supporters.

With a career as long and as impactful as hers, there inevitably will (and should) be a varied discourse on her legacy...but really my thoughts this morning regarding Nancy Pelosi are that I was proud and excited to get to vote for her in multiple elections when I lived in SF. It was an honor.

For any unfamiliar with the quality of journalism at Teen Vogue, it's well known for hard-hitting stories on "politically sensitive" topics including climate.

Then there's CBS: the only major network to increase climate coverage in the last few years. They just axed nearly their whole climate team.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

So to be clear, the Trump administration has been trying to illegally withhold SNAP benefits, an illegal and immoral attempt at using people's hunger as a bargaining chip.
(AP) — Two federal judges ruled nearly simultaneously on Friday that President Donald Trump's administration must to continue to fund SNAP, the nation's biggest food aid program, using contingency funds during the government shutdown.

OK, let's talk about the political role of climate. We are going to build cool new stuff (HSR and cheaper/better/faster cars and sure, trucks), SAVE YOU MONEY, create shitloads of jobs, make nicer places to live, oh and give your grandkids a plant that's still habitable.

THIS IS NOT THAT HARD.
