Kind of baffled to discover Return of the Jedi wasn't shown on UK TV until Boxing Day 1989, 4 months after Batman came out at the pictures. We didn't have a VCR but I feel like I'd already seen RotJ a ton of times by that point? How or where, I've no idea

'...We Are Sex Bob-Omb' from the Scott Pilgrim soundtrack and 'Unlock' by Sonny Vincent & Rocket From The Crypt feature exactly the same riff, in the same key, were written, recorded and released at roughly the same time, but apparently are completely unrelated to one another?

Last issue of New History of the DC Universe out today. Twice as long as the Wolfman/Perez original and not even half as good. Was really looking forward to this but it's mostly been a dud sadly. Glad we got those incredible Scott Koblish variants at least.

Finished watching Alien Earth - a real mixed bag there. The bits that cribbed most heavily from the previous films (Olyphant, Ceesay, Edmondson, the stuff on the ship) were pretty good. Some of the other stuff (the main A plot, unfortunately) were borderline dreadful.
