Tennessee State Conference of the NAACP v. Lee was a court challenge to the racial gerrymander of Davidson County, Tennessee when the county was "cracked" into three (3) congressional districts, TN-05, TN-06, and TN-07.

The new political litmus test is based on current elected officials or aspirants support and vote in favor of the passage of the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (#JRLVRAA), the Freedom to Vote Act, and the reauthorization of the 1965 Voting Rights Act (#VRA).

My response to every political phone call, text message, and email asking for a donation, "Mass voter registration and citizenship education." That ought to be what every elected official and aspirant should be focused.

In 2022, over five hundred African American women sought elected offices at every level of government. That trend nearly doubled in 2024 to over nine hundred. Ninety-two percent of the same population voted Democrat in the General Election. And, over eighty percent of African American men did, too.
