To be clear, we do have plans for scaling, we just kinda expected more than a couple days notice before getting blasted with a million new users a day.
The team is rapidly deploying fixes and new software to adapt. More servers in the mail.

I wrote a little bit about how to do deployment updates without serving errors in #Kubernetes.

Since I don't have a blog, I'll just skeet (Note: was posted elsewhere Aug'22)

You have some pods, and maybe an load-balancer, too. You want to update the deployment. How to do this "best" in K8s today?

At LinkedIn, we use Kubernetes to build one of the largest on-prem bare metal compute fleets.

We’re hiring engineers at senior and staff levels (Seattle or Bay Area only), if you’re interested, DM me here or on Twitter.

Saw a hacker news post on a python tool [1] to do that and was interested if anyone has setup a Golang version of it.

Just got another reminder why I don't like to call hotlines. "I couldn't hear you" after the computer voice prompted me to enter a number followed by # sign into the phone.
Why do I have to waste my time with this crap.
