I’m not surprised by Mamdani’s win at all. He tapped into the same economic ideas and frustration and anger that Trump did in 2016 and 2024. Except Mamdani gave concrete policy ideas instead of strong man empty promises. Thats the difference that democrats should learn.

Any women looking at long term birth control options right now, if you decide on an IUD, highly recommend asking for topical lidocaine and a paracervical block. While it does not stop the cramping that occurs but it does make the experience far less painful and more like a period cramp.
