I feel like this is what separates a good boss from a bad one. Bad ones micromanage. Good ones clearly communicate desired outcomes and leave the “how” to the IC
Here's my argument about AI that's distilled down about as much as I can: if it was good for me, my boss wouldn't want me to use it so bad.

NO ONE who is freaking out about the possibility of a public grocery store has said word one about this, or shown any sign that they give a shit.
"Spending public money" was never the real problem. "Showing voters that nice things are possible" is what scares these folks.

More or less. His point is that the city spends $140MM per year on operational subsidies to privately owned grocers with no accountability for outcomes.

I just updated the CO2 graph on NASA's climate dashboard. May was the 4th month in a row to set a new record for the highest CO2 ever measured.
This year's peak CO2 will be ~4 ppm higher than last year.
We're rapidly going in the wrong direction.

I'm so exhausted with web apps and sass and just how terrible applications are now. Terrible UX, buggy, slow. A lot of people will be too young to remember but software used to actually not be a total dumpster fire.
