Really enjoyed combining markers and charcoal! Though I’m struggling with color limitations—my set’s too bold/dark, and I needed muted tones. Still, had fun experimenting!

Charcoal and marker monster. Auchan’s watercolor paper is trash for my needs - started pilling even during sketching with a regular eraser. Charcoal lays down weirdly.

Decided to try digital art - borrowed a screen tablet from @maoshan.bsky.social . I'd say this is my first 'serious' attempt. I've tried simple tablets in the past, but it didn't really work out. And yes, I couldn't resist experimenting with colour!

Experimenting with new materials. Found some old Whatman paper I bought years ago-love how birch charcoal sits on it! Also made charcoal powder from grill charcoal (ground the chunks and sifted through a super fine filter). Not essential for small sketches, but works fine for building up tones.

It's annoying when you simultaneously want to draw something and don't want to draw at all. I decided to try scribbling on black paper, for 10-15 minutes I got it, I couldn't squeeze more out of myself.

I like the head, but I have problems with the neck. Took the angle from my head and couldn't find a reference for how to “arrange” the neck =_="”

And this year, I'm trying to get back into drawing, which is extremely challenging given my lack of perseverance.
