We've written a Researcher's Guide to Bluesky!

It's a bit like all those other useful guides to Bluesky, but with several useful insights from University of York academics about using the platform, and we'd love it if it was reposted far and wide...

Women are under-represented at senior levels in #academia globally, & across all #science 🧪 disciplines, as shown by these "scissor-shaped curves" ✂️

So how can we ever achieve #gender #equality?

We discuss various strategies in this #Cell Commentary

My first post here comes with sad news: the Mediterranean fan mussel (Pinna nobilis), an iconic and critically #endangered species, is on the brink of #extinction. Our latest study reveals an alarming 81% decline in the Gulf of Kalloni—one of its last refuges.

As climate change seems to align with pessimistic scenarios (RCP 8.5), I can’t help but wonder how this remains possible. A significant debate centers on whether assisted translocation to higher latitudes should be embraced as a viable conservation strategy.
