I'm still not quite all the way through Rings of Power s2 - its a slog - but it is fascinating to me how much substituting GRRM morality for Tolkien morality basically breaks the story and characters, so that a story that was about hubris is now about, like, magic mind control.

Twitter/X was always a space where the extremists could bait the normies and gleefully feast on our energy. Bluesky (at the moment) is a safe space for people to gather their strength, process what has happened and figure out how to go forward. At the moment, that's enough.
