It is entirely possible to be respectful about the death of a person you disagreed with without “honoring” him by vowing to continue his disagreeable, hateful “work.”
The best way to honor Charlie's memory is to continue his work: engage with each other, across ideology, through spirited discourse. In a democracy, ideas are tested through words and good-faith debate — never through violence.

Republicans Love-Hate Relationships With Masks #ABlueView🧵1/2

Going back thru my cartoons collected over the years, apparently it depends on who's wearing them (Dems bad, ICE good) and why (preventing disease bad, enabling unconstitutional police behavior good).

My guess is there is a relationship between those two events.

The allegations against Cuomo that forced him to resign aren’t he-said, she-said.

They’re he-said, she-said, she-said, she-said, she-said, she-said, she-said, she-said, she-said, she-said, she-said, she-said.

The NY AG found he sexually harassed 11 women. So he quit.

Earlier today ICE agents hit someone with a car and tear gassed a neighborhood, sparking several fires and disrupting businesses.

Immigrants, by contrast, did not.
ICE is a much greater threat to this country than illegal immigrants. The current administration ia by far the greatest threat this country faces. The problem is not st our borders. It is in the White House.

Check out the part where the White House says they have zero tolerance for violence against law enforcement. They left out a footnote: Except for pardoning people who did that on J6.

Others have said it, and I agree, someone should just declare their presidential run right now. Start promising to fix the economy, make housing affordable, subsidize childcare, etc. and watch the attention economy pivot from the train wreck on a dime. Make them react to a competent vision!
We need a Booker not a Schumer 🔥🔥

He has introduced a 10% tariff on the British Indian Ocean Territory.

The only inhabited island there is Diego Garcia, home to US service personnel.

Today, we mourn the passing of Jimmy Carter, 39th President of the United States of America.

But we should also celebrate his incredible life. Few people have had as much positive impact on the world.

This story of bravery is how I will remember him.
