Calling cancer patients “brave” is dehumanising. I think this is because it puts distance between the patient and the other person. It’s not a compliment with any real meaning or recognition behind it.
“You’re so brave. I couldn’t do what you’re doing.”
But what’s the alternative?

Yup, it happens, a lot, in the metastatic breast cancer space
Cancer ghosting may be linked to cancer stigma, which can lead to increased suffering & health disparities & is one more emotional toll for pts who are likely to feel overwhelmed w/anxiety re: their diagnosis & treatment.

"How could that be?" I, a huge BB fan, think to myself before looking at what may be the most off-putting cover art/album title combination I've ever seen.
I have been enthusing about this album to folks for a decade and a half, and I can state with confidence that no one I’ve recommended it to—even hardcore BB freaks—has ever bothered to listen to it.
