Have decided to be brave and start sharing my thoughts on #anorexia and other #eatingdisorders and #appetite research in a #blog.

It's unconventional, possibly different from anything you will have read about anorexia before and, being honest, it will be marmite.

In my favourite place abroad - #greece.

Love Μπάμιες (okra) - never seen them grow before. On these plants. Who knew?

I remember you sprinkle them with vinegar and leave in the sun to stop them being slimy. Not really compatible with UK weather.

First results from Our Future Health and not entirely surprising.

I suspect that the root cause of a significant proportion of mental health conditions resides in the immune system.

Research has shown that you buy more of everything when you’re hungry, not just food.

Just been to Ikea.

Disaster.

Balancing feeding with fear.

The neurocircuits and neurons that balance nutritional needs with danger are interconnected and in some cases, one and the same. (e.g. POMC)

No wonder feeding problems are associated with anxiety.

Has anyone personal or professional experience of using #digestivebitters to ease gastrointestinal discomfort in #anorexia?

Some say they are helpful, but I wonder if they might cause more discomfort through raised #GLP1 and CCK? (Both probably already raised in anorexia.)
