I was surprised by this. In that sense, it is both a surprise and not a surprise, as I’ve been waiting for this to start happening. Those Evangelical votes that Republicans covet so much are emboldened by their success, and it’s now time to start attacking the ‘other’.

This is disgusting. No one is less appropriate to be the chairman of a place of cultural learning than Donald Trump. Many people will be deprived of world class art as artists inevitably and rightly boycott this beautiful venue.

For some reason, this has been one of the hardest of these missives to write. Then, I had a meeting with my therapist that teased out the issue. I’m too close to this one. Given what I studied, it’s not a surprise that I have a lot of US Government employees as friends.
