They call her "climate killer Kathy."

The centrist Democrat has gone all-in on setting the climate on fire as crypto-investors, fossil fuel executives, and her own husband cash in.

We’ve gone from “there’s no ethical consumption under Capitalism” to “literally everything you like is funding the end of the world in one way or another.”

I hate it here.
Activision is using gen AI? Seriously?!

How is it so many smaller studio, smaller team, indie dev games are like, "Nah, don't need AI, we can do this without it."

But the high rollers are like, "Fuck it, fire people and use the plagiarism machine, no one will care."

(they're prolly right too)

This is a very good case in point - if BlueSky wants to moderate heavily, then moderate heavily, but you gotta hit all the offenders, *especially* the powerful ones
this is a far more explicit death threat from people with the actual means to carry it out

Have you contacted your Democratic senators yet?

Demand that your Democratic senators call on Chuck Schumer to step aside as Minority Leader. We need new leadership that will actually fight for us.

JD Vance is a Nazi.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

The problem isn't that they caved for a promised vote; the problem is that the vote will be a meaningless gesture impressing no one but Senate Democrats.

It will fail. ACA beneficiaries will suffer considerably as a result and there will be no consequences of any kind for Republicans.
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

I can't wait to see all of my mutuals that play Fortnite regularly to not touch the game for the entirety of the season in solidarity of all of their trans homies! It's so nice knowing so many people that aren't just allies when it's convenient for them! 🙂💖

Hint. Fucking. Hint.
Harry Potter x Fortnite coming in Chapter 7

As a nice bonus joy for Mamdani winning, we also get the delight of knowing Cuomo lost
November 5, 2025 at 3:59 PM
I’m thrilled, of course, but this resonated too. I’m just so…relieved.
I knew that Mamdani had it; he had the people and did the work, and has been the clearest and most lucid in rejecting the untenable current state of things. But the vile, bigoted shit against him was so constant, and I am conditioned to that working better than I want. This feels like an exorcism.

Not for nothing but like...imagine if he said this about a presidential candidate he didn't like. This man needs to go, and he needed to go yesterday, and every single politician like him needs to go, because this is not leadership.
Q: It's election day in NYC. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: "Look, I voted, and I look forward to working with the next mayor to help NYC."

That's the NYC we know and love. It has found expression in this movement. And it is rising up at the ballot box today.

Every time she comes up, I remind you all that Pamela Paul killed a pro trans paragraph in a review I wrote for the New York Times, lied about it in the press, then when I confronted her with receipts, said “Let’s keep this to ourselves.”
In which a straight woman highlights a bunch of known anti trans activists and claims there's a divide in the queer community.

It's pure propaganda and gaslighting.

If we all start singing Golden at 8:00 p.m. ET, that should work, right? Right?! Like, I really need this to work.

Notable that the people carrying Trumpism don't act like they believe they're carrying out the will of the public, they act like dictators terrified of a spontaneous uprising so swift and massive it overwhelms their protective services before assistance can arrive.

If there’s a primary, core reason for my (and many others’, I imagine) plummeting mental health in the past 5 years, this is it.

It haunts me. It enrages me. It frightens me.
I think a lot about the chance we had at the start of COVID to finally become a more compassionate, collectivist nation, and how profoundly we were failed not only by the sociopathic greed of the ruling class but by each other.

It doesn’t mean we won’t get there, but the lost opportunity haunts me.
Remember how just a few years ago during the worst of the pandemic when we saw how the govt can actually do big things and saw that our collective health & well-being are intertwined, and then corporations got mad that they lost a modicum of power and helped fund a backlash of amnesia and fascism?
